API is a German NGO which has been supporting partners in Jhabua, Central India since 1992. For almost 20 years we’ve been promoting sustainable development in what was then India’s district with the lowest literacy in the country. Our main focus is on Education of tribal boys and especially girls.

Projects

Jhabua’s more than 90% tribal population has long been deprived of quality education and healthcare. Most oft hem life close to he subsitence level. In order to help this community API runs the Bhilc Academy Highschool and provides free classes in English, healthcare, nutrition, vocational training and information on renewable energy.
